The results of the 17th National American Squash Championship Selection are released

The "17th National American Squash Championship and the 2024 Asian American Squash Championship National Team Selection Tournament" hosted by the Squash Association of the Republic of China was successfully concluded. The competition spans two days, June 8th to June 9th, and will be held at the Squash Court of Kaohsiung City’s Happy Island Vitality Hall.

Competition category
(1) Men’s Group, (2) Women’s Group, (5) Mixed Doubles Group: Men’s and women’s one-person team doubles matches.

Eligibility
Those who have the nationality of the Republic of China, have the identity document of the Republic of China and have the passport of the Republic of China.
How to play
(1) Rules: The 2023 singles competition rules of the Squash Association of the Republic of China will be adopted.
(2) Competition format: round-robin or knockout based on the number of players. A best-of-three-game system is adopted, with each game worth 11 points.

​Selection method
(1) Players: The top two players in the male and female groups will be selected based on their performance, and the third player will be the candidate for qualification. If the player who is replacing the team cannot participate for some reason, the third candidate will be the substitute to participate.
(2) Coach: Priority will be given to the coach who has the most players selected for the representative team in each male and female group and should have an A-level coaching certificate (must have). One coach each for the male and female teams will be selected. If there are vacancies, they will be filled in order; If the number of players selected for the representative team is the same, the coach with the highest ranking will be the coach. If there are special circumstances, the reasons should be stated and submitted to the selection and training committee meeting of the association for approval. The project will be reported to the Sports Administration of the Ministry of Education for review before selection.
